Monument “De Verrekijker”

The sculpture De Verrekijker (The Binoculars), designed by Gerry van der Velden from Zoelen, was installed in November 2013 as part of the project “The forgotten Grebbelinie fort De Spees (Betuwe Line) Betuwe Line walking route” (The forgotten Grebbe Line fort De Spees (Betuwe Defence Line) Betuwe Line walking route).
De Verrekijker looks out over the beautiful meadow bird area Eldikse Veld, home to black-tailed godwits and lapwings.
