On May 11, 1940, around 9:00 PM, the command post of the 2nd Company, 2nd Battalion, 46th Infantry Regiment was established at the farmhouse called "De Park."
Prior to the German invasion of the Netherlands, the command post of the 2nd Company, 2nd Battalion, 46th Infantry Regiment was located at the "De Spees" position on the Rijnbandijk dike until the evening of May 11, 1940.
Due to artillery fire on the "De Spees" position, the command post was moved to a location behind the position. Reserve Captain P. van Kleef commanded the command post.
