MOB Cold War

The MOB complex in Landhorst (also known as Wanroij) was built in the late 1950s as part of Dutch defense during the Cold War. The site included warehouses, a workshop, a guardhouse, and storage for ammunition, vehicles, and fuel. After the Cold War, it lost its function and was purchased by the province of North Brabant in 2010. Since 2014 it has been transformed into the **Cold War Memorial Park**, featuring artworks, information panels, and two rockets (one American and one Russian) symbolizing the tensions of the era. Visitors can follow an interactive route to learn more about events from that time. Today the park is open on weekends and serves as a quiet reminder of a period marked by global fear and preparations for a war that never came.
