Air Raid Raid Protection Service Uithoorn

During World War II, 1,000 guilders were made available in the municipality of Uithoorn on June 30, 1941, for a house for the Air Raid Protection Service.

This house, then occupied by the Blom family, was chosen for this purpose. A lookout tower was built on the house for this purpose.

The Air Raid Protection Service was a Dutch organization established in 1939 to protect the civilian population from the effects of air raids.
