Command Post 8 G.B. "Het Witte Huis"

During the May days of 1940, this house, called "The White House," housed the command post of the battalion commander of the 8th Border Battalion.

On May 10, 1940, around 8:00 PM, the order was given to withdraw to the Betuwe Line near Kesteren and Ochten.

The commander was reserve major J. Clerk.
