This memorial in the Houesville cemetery was erected in memory of the soldiers who died during the First World War. After the Second World War, two plaques were added. One plaque commemorates three French victims who died during the Second World War. The other plaque commemorates four American soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division who died on June 8, 1944, during the liberation of Houesville.
