Stelling van Amsterdam - Battery I Spaarndam
In 1915, the battery was relocated due to concerns that the guns could not be safely withdrawn via Spaarndam. The concrete battery, intended for four guns, was part of the Spaarndam Position and is located in the rampart near the fort north of Spaarndam. It is largely covered with earth, but is still recognizable and known as a subsidiary battery of the fort south of Spaarndam.
