Dutch War Graves General Cemetery Maastricht

Maastricht General Cemetery contains a plot with 16 Dutch War Graves.

At the General Cemetery in Maastricht is the collective grave of the Deen Family DEEN
Father, mother and their three children were killed in the war on 01-01-1945.

MAASSEN Armand
As a soldier, Maassen was transferred to a prisoner of war camp in Wilhelmshaven. Later, the Sicherheitsdienst removed him from there to interrogate him in the Netherlands. He died in Kamp Amersfoort on February 10, 1943, at the age of 23, of pneumonia.

DRESEN Alphonse was a member of the Clarence resistance group, which operated across the border with Belgium. He is commemorated at the monument to Réseau Clarence near the Chartreuse in Liège. He was executed by firing squad at Fort Rijnhauwen.
