Cross of Remembrance to the Fallen on 'Hill 107' Maleme

This cross has been erected in memory of the fallen from Hill 107.
On the 20th of May 1941, the Hill was a witness of heavy fighting between German 'Falschirmjagers' and the 22nd Batalion from New-Zealand. The same day, the Germans captured the Hill and a day later the airfield of Maleme.
