Generals Gavin and Ridgway Memorial

On the right side of Liberty Highway - Kilometer 0 stands in the garden of the Hotel de Ville of Sainte-Mère-Eglise a memorial to the Generals Ridgway and Gavin.
In the Hotel de Ville is the first American flag, which was rased on liberated French territory.

In grateful tribure to Generals Ridgway and Gavin and to all the gallant Liberators of our town
