Memorial Airfight Nijensleek

This memorial commemorates an airfight above Nijensleek on 15 August 1944, between a Liberator B24 H and German fighters. The Liberator and a Messerschmitt crashed, the Messerschmitt near the location of the memorial and the Liberator at the Steenwijker Aa. The victims of both sides are commemorated.
