Memorial Crash Mosquito KB 267

This Memorial is placed on the site of the crash of the Mosquito KB 267 in Steenbergen. G.P. (Guy) Gibson and J.B.Warwick were killed. Both victims are buried on the cemetery at Steenbergen.

LED THE DAMBUSTERS RAID ON 16 - 17 MAY 1943
NAVIGATOR SQUADRON LEADER J.B. WARWICK DFC

BOTH OFFICERS LOST THEIR LIVES
IN THE SERVICE OF THEIR COUNTRY

OH I HAVE SLIPPED THE SURLY BONDS OF EARTH
REACHED OUT AND TOUCHED THE FACE OF GOD
