Jewish Monument Meppel

This memorial commemorates the 232 Jewish residents of Meppel who were murdered in the Holocaust.

The names and dates of birth of all victims have been placed on the stone back wall of the monument.

The text on the monument in Dutch and in Hebrew states:
In memory of our Jewish fellow citizens
who in the occupation years 1940 - 1945
were taken away and never returned.

At the bottom of the third panel, from the left, is a text from the Bible:

"I give them an eternal name that will not be cut off" Isaiah 56: 5
