Jewish Remembrance Stones General Cemetery Maastricht

At the Jewish part of the General Cemetery in Maastricht are many Memorials for those who were murdered in the Concentration Camps in Germany and Poland in World War ll.

Marcelle Antoinette de Vries, born 21-04-1906 in Maastricht - murdered 31-08-1942 in Auschwitz, was 36 years old and is commemorated on her Mother's grave in Maastricht.

Caroline Foyer and their children Richard, Rosa, Victor and their families who died in concentration camps are remembered at the grave of her husband Samuel Egger in Maastricht.

Léon Wesly, born 06-04-1939 in Maastricht - murdered 11-02-1944 in Auschwitz, was only 4 years old and is commemorated on the family grave in Maastricht. (see also "Stumbling Stones")

Lilli Wijngaard-Süskind, born 11-05-1888 in Königswinter - murdered together with her twin sister Meta 03-08-1943 in Auschwitz, and is commemorated on the grave of her husband, Emile Wijngaard. (see also "Stumbling Stones")
