World War I

COLLINET Joseph, age 33, born at Lanaye, private in the Genie of the 3rd Division Armée, died at Boom after a fight with comrades on October 4, 1914, 3 days before his 34th birthday.

SERONVAL Henri, age 23 born in Lanaye, soldier in the 14th Line Regiment, killed at Saint-Joris on October 23, 1914, and missing since then.

WISLET Jean, age 21, native of Lanaye, private of the 12th line regiment, killed in action at Oostkerke on May 30, 1915.

COLLARD Henri, age 22, born in Lanaye, soldier in the 11th artillery regiment, 75 mm rapid-fire guns, killed at Saint-Jean (Ypres) 't Wieltje is mentioned on his grave, on September 28, 1918.

LUCASSEN Jean-Philippe, age 23, private in the 10th Line Regiment, died of a heart embolism on May 4, 1917 at the Belgian Military Hospital Virval at Calais (France).

HUFKENS Alfred, age 20, from Lanaye, soldier with the 5th linieregiment, died of wounds after the war on November 29, 1918 at the Institute of Our Lady at Saint-Michiels.

BARTELS Guillaume, age 34, born in Leut and living in Kessenich, corporal in the artillery of fort Liers, artillerie fortifiée de Liège (A.F.L.), died of illness on December 17, 1918 at Lanaye.

World War II

BIESMANS Joseph, age 26, from Lanaye, brigadier with the Régiment Fortifiée de Liège (R.F.L.) at fort Eben-Emael, killed on May 10, 1940.

CREMERS Renier, age 35, born in Seraing, resistent, non-commissioned officer with the Armée Secret, died at Lanaye on September 11, 1944. (Lanaye was liberated around this date).

LACROIX Jean, age 31, born at Lanaye, corporal in the 43rd Line Regiment, killed at Paschendale on May 27, 1940.

XHARDÉ Eustache, age 26, born in Lanaye, soldier with the Régiment Fortifiée de Liège (R.F.L.) at Fort Eben-Emael, killed on May 21, 1940 at Argoules on the Somme in France.
