Bullet Impacts Villa Heymans

During the liberation of the city of Groningen in April 1945, there is heavy fighting to expel the occupier. Traces are still visible. In the wall of the villa Heymans Ubbo Emmiussingel 108, the bullet impacts still are clearly visible.

Dr. Gerard Heymans (1857-1930) was a philosopher, psychologist and from 1890 as a professor at the University of Groningen. He indicated architect Berlage assignment for him a house with psychological laboratory building. Berlage designed a building in the renewal of architecture around 1900.
