Bakkerskil Fortress

Fort Bakkerskil is part of the Dutch Water Line. In 1914-1918 the fort was mobilized. In May 1940 the fort was manned but there was no fighting. After the war, NSB'ers were imprisoned until 1949.

The fort is converted into a "Bed and Breakfast" and it is also a location for a drink or coffee. It is located on the route of several national walking and biking trails.

At the fort are also remains of the Lancaster which crashed near Hank.
