Frontzate Belgian Medical Post Ramskapelle

This Belgian bunker along the old railway line was built in the Great War (World War I).

Frontzate the cycle path over the railway bed from Nieuwpoort to Diksmuide was the Belgian line during the First World War due to the flooding of the Yzer plain.
Today we still see several remains of shelters, machine gun positions and medical posts along this line.
This construction is the remains of a Belgian medical post, which is very recognizable by the bas-relief of a cross at the back of the building.
