Memorial Teachers Gesamtschule Winterhude
In front of the Gesamtschule Winterhude is a memorial commemorating two Jewish teachers of this school, as symbol for all the victims of National Socialism.
On 12 March 1943, Hertha Feiner-Aßmus was deported to Auschwitz. On her way to the concentration camp she committed suicide.
On 6 December 1941, Julia Cohn was deported to Riga, where she died in camp.
