Submarine Cannon

In 1939 this 8.8 cm cannon was constructed at Wilton Feijenoord/Bofors for the use at a submarine of the Royal Navy. This type was cannon used at the submarines that were operated in the Dutch-Indies. The history of this exemple is not fully clear. It probably was destined for a submarine that couldn't be completed because of the start of World War Two. It is certain that this cannon was used at the salute battery at Hook of Holland post war.
