St. Jozef Chapel Teteringen

Chaplain Bongenaar was between 1938 and 1946 Chaplain in Teteringen and was a great admirer of St.Jozef. He took a piece of wood from a tree topped with a statue of St.Jozef in march 1942 a simple chapel, in the hope that his parishioners would be at war protected.
In October 1944 in the fights the Germans were shelling a lot, even the tree with the chapel was hit and St. Josef statue remained the top half intact. For the residents it was a clear sign that St.Jozef had protected from the violence of war.
