War Memorial Dutch Reformed Church Joure

The Memorial at the Reformed Church in Joure was founded in memory of eighteen fellow citizens who died during the occupation by war:

Uilke Boonstra, Hotze Brouwer, Willem van der Bij, Ynze Dikkerboom, Jan Eijsinga, Wiepke Hof, Richard Jung, Geert Knol, Jan Lenos, Hendrik Prakken, Dirk de Ruiter, Siebe de Ruiter, Hendrik Jan Textor, Andries van Veen, Hylke Watze van der Veen, Joachim Carel Vegelin van Claerbergen, Harm de Vries, Kornelis Wind en Sape van Wijngaarden.

This War Memorial also ommemorates the victims who fell in the Indonesian Independence War in the Netherlands East Indies between 1945 and 1950.

On the Memorial is also a victim commemorated who fell in Korea in 1951.
