War Memorial Hendrik van Veldeke College
This memorial commemorates that after the liberation of Maastricht in September 1944 the Headquarters of the US 9th Army was located here.
On the 7th of December 1944 the Commander in Chief Dwight Eisenhower together with his staff drafted the strategy here that lead to the German capitulation in May 1945
