War Memorial Jaarsveld

The war memorial of Jaarsveld (municipality of Lopik) commemorates three soldiers who fell in World War II.

Pieter Arie Eikelenboom, Genie KNIL second class soldier, shot 19-01-1942 aboard a Japanese Warship. Sailor grave.

Arie de Groot, conscript soldier 16th Border Battalion, killed 10-05-1940 in Zutphen. Buried in Jaarsveld, N.H. Cemetery.

Adrianus Manschot, Officer-Kite 2nd Class K.M., Marine Aviation Service,
Bronze Cross, Kite Cross. died in a fatal accident, due to a crash between two planes, flying in formation over Belgium.
Buried in Amersfoort, Rusthof, Field of Honor
