Collective Grave German Sailors IJmuiden Western Cemetery

This tomb, at the Western Cemetery, is for 5 people on board the German torpedo boat V69, which was hit by two British grenades on 22 January 1917 (another victim, Leutnant zur See Friedrich Carl Hannover, was later reburied in Germany). There is also a German sixth victim buried, who drowned on 31 July 1918. The grave is maintained by the German Federal Navy.
