Fort bij Nigtevecht

The "Fort bij Nigtevecht (Fort at Nigtevecht)" was completed in 1904 as part of the Stelling van Amsterdam (Defence Line of Amsterdam, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

The fort was mobilized both in 1914-1918 and in 1940. In World War II, the Germans used it for storage due to its location next to the Amsterdam-Rhine-Channel.
