Memorial for Peace and Freedom
The memorial symbolises two worlds. The outer iron globe symbolises the world torn by war. Through the wounds of war a branch grows which offers a place for a dove of peace. Coming from the world of peace and freedom with a branch as evidence that that world really exists, really lives. It's up to us to commemorate those who lost their lives in the battle for peace. It's up to us to work together to create a world of peace and freedom for everyone. Do not lose the hope for such a world.
