Memorial 'Het Apeldoornsche Bosch'
This memorial commemorates the deportation of approximately 1200 patients and 50 employees of the Jewish psychiatric institution 'Het Apeldoornsche Bosch'. Not one of them survived the extermination camps.
The translation of the text within the circle reads:
"22 JANUARY 1943
THE APELDOORNSCHE BOSCH".
The translation of the text on the memorial reads:
"NEVER I'VE
LOVED SO BITTERLY
WHAT WAS TAKEN FROM US".
