Fortress Aubin-Neufchâteau

The fortress Aubin-Neufchâteau was part of the "Position Fortifiée Liege I", a series of fortresses around Liege.

Position Fortifiée Liege I consisted of four fortresses of which Aubin-Neufchâteau was the smallest. This fortress had a garrison of approximately 500 under the guidance of Commander Oscar d'Ardenne.

The Fortress Aubin-Neufchâteau was attacked bij classical infantry divisions during May 1940 and hold out until may 21.
