National Memorial Peacekeeping Missions Ottawa

This is the national memorial which commemorates the Canadian servicemen who were killed in Peacekeeping missions since 1945 (a.o. Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Former Yugoslavia and Afghanistan). All missions are inscribed on the memorial.


In this text are mentioned the victims who fought for Canada and who gave their lives in the War in Afghanistan and/or Operation Enduring Freedom and who have no grave because they were cremated:

19 August 2007 , Private Simon Maurice Serge Longtin, aged 23
29 August 2007 , Major Raymond Mark Ruckpaul, aged 42
20 August 2008 , Corporal Dustin Roy Robert Joseph Wasden, aged 25
03 September 2008 , Private Chadwick James "Chad" Horn, aged 21
03 May 2010 , Petty Officer 2nd Class Douglas Craig Blake, aged 37
24 May 2010 , Trooper Larry John Zuidema Rudd, aged 26
