Istana Bukit Serene Royal Palace

This palace (1933-1939) was used by the Imperial Japanese Army to plane the invasion of Singapore. Shortly before the Japanese surrender in 1945, Sultan Ibrahim of Johor was was forced to reside at Istana Pasir Pelangi, the crown prince's palace.

The palace is still in use by the current sultan.
