Union Memorial Perryville Battlefield

The Battle of Perryville, also known as the Battle of Chaplin Hills, on 8 October 1862, was the bloodiest battle in Kentucky history. Of the 16,000 Union soldiers at the Battle of Perryville, 4,276 were killed, captured, wounded, or missing. The battle is considered a strategic Union victory.
