Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site

The Battle of Perryville, also known as the Battle of Chaplin Hills, on 8 October 1862, was the bloodiest battle in Kentucky history. The battle is considered a strategic Union victory. The Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site contains a museum, a Confederate burial place, monuments, interpretive signage and cannons.
