Biography

Killed in action near the cross-roads of Nulandse Weerscheut and Sassendreef between Nuland and Vinkel in Cromwell tank T.189464 while executing an observation and the tank was hit by a German Anti Tank shell.
Initially buried in a field grave near the wreck of the tank and in the summer of 1946 reburied in the British War Cemetery Uden.

Also killed in action were the four other crew members:
