Biography

Escaped from occupied France in 1940 and commissioned in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve for intelligence service. Mission to Brest in 1941. CO of N51, a trawler rigged for clandestine duties in France. Lomenech completed many missions. Later first lieutenant of HM submarine Safari.

"A naval lieutenant who escaped from France to England in September 1940, he carried out more than 50 special missions along the French coast, including 25 as a ship's commander. He was thus able to bring valuable soldiers to France for the Resistance during perilous and difficult journeys."
