Biography

A.F. Abell was a District Commissioner who participated as a civilian volunteer in Operation Postmaster in January 1942. He and Newington manned the second folbot, armed with revolvers and a Tommy gun. Upon arrival at the Likomba, the German crew jumped into the sea. He underwent SOE training for this mission.
