    “On the 08.07.1944, during the tank battle west of Kovel, SS-Untersturmführer Großrock and his Zug (of 5 Panther tanks) destroyed 23 Soviet T-34s in two hours without incurring any friendly losses. Through this action, done with outstanding boldness and bravery, he decisively contributed to the destruction of the enemy’s armoured breakthrough.
