Biography

Died on 17th February 1942 while trying to disarm a German electric torpedo at the Eagle Beach, Aruba. Unfortunately the torpedo exploded. He was buried in Aruba and on 29th May 1999, his remains were taken to the Netherlands and he was reburied at the Erebegraafplaats Loenen, the Netherlands.
