Charles Norman Peterson enlisted in December 1942. He served with 94th Signal Corps. Charles Norman was honorably discharged on December 18th, 1945.

He was also entitled to wear the Meritorious Unit Ribbon.

"For meritorious service in connection with military operations against an enemy of the United States in Germany from January 5, 1945 to March 30, 1945. As a radio repairman he worked for a period of 60 hours without sleep, repairing radios which were vitally needed in combat operations. His supreme devotion to duty and loyalty are in keeping with the highest traditions of the Army of the United States."
