Biography

Joseph L. Phelan served in the U.S. Forces from July 28th, 1940 until February 5th, 1946. He reached the rank of Captain. During the Second World War he served as Squadron Commander with Headquarters 24th Cavalry Regiment. He left the United States for Europe on December 3rd, 1943 and served there until October 4th, 1945.
