Biography

Arthur Pinches was the son of Charles and Charlotte Pinches and enlisted in the Canadian Army in September 1939.
He was in the Royal Canadian Artillery, first as a Gunner in 1940. He married Una Long on July 24th, 1943.
Pinches was serving with the 4 L.A.A. Regiment AEF when he was killed In action in Germany, April 23, 1945 and was initially buried on the outskirts of Winchoten, Holland.

July 3rd, 1941: Acting Lance Sergeant;
July 28th, 1944: Lieutenant.
