"For exemplary performance of command assignments on the frontline against the Nazi invaders and for displaying courage and heroism." The besieged 18th Anti Tank Artillery Regiment repelled several German assaults at Jasienica, destroying two German tanks, one mechanized gun and one APC, in the period 9-12 February 1945. Ivan Raspolov was injured twice but never abandoned his post.
