Biography

Oberstleutnant Werner Lorleberg was responsible for the defence of Erlangen in 1945. He capitulated without putting up a fight to the U.S. army on 16 April 1945. He committed suicide that same day. Other sources are saying that he was murdered by fanatics within the army.
