Biography

Webb shot an enemy aircraft down 24 hours after the commencement of the qualifying period for the 'Battle of Britain' Clasp for the 1939-1945 Star, but he was not entitled since he did not belong to a Fighter Squadron.

On 20 December Webb took off in Bristol Beaufort Mk I L4474 to attack the military port facilities at Lorient which was his 115th sortie. After taking off nothing was further was heard from the aircraft.
