Memorial Battle of Baltimore

This memorial in Federal Hill Park commemorates the Battle of Baltimore, which took place from 12 to 15 September 1814 during the War of 1812. The battle was won by the Americans who were able to stop the British attack. The memorial also commemorates Colonel George Armistead. He was the commander of Fort McHenry and Baltimore's defense against the British during the War of 1812.
