Polar Bear Memorial Hilversum
The text on the plaque is:
POLAR BEAR - 2020 - Sven Lamme
On 7 May 1945 Hilversum was liberated. Around noon the first allied soldiers entered the town. They were part of the British 49th (West Riding) Infantry Division 'the Polar Bears'. On the stairs of Grand Hotel Gooiland they were welcomed by the people of Hilversum.
