Memorial German Decoy Airfield Oostelbeers
During World War II, a German False Airfield was located on this site to mislead the Allies. The rails of the monument are still the original ones. There is also a bunker in the woods.
The Allies did not fall into the deception. The airfield was also used by German planes to drop bombs left behind before landing. As a result, houses in the area were destroyed and local residents were killed.
