Memorial Crash Site Havilland Mosquito W4064

Early in the morning of May 31, 1942, four Havilland Mosquitos left England to drop some bombs on and take photographs of Cologne, hit by the first "Thousand Bomber Raid" at night. Three aircraft returned to their base. Aircraft W4064 was missing, with pilot William Kennard and navigator Eric Johnson on board. Both are buried in the Antwerp Schoonselhof.
