Crashsite Stirling R9250 AA-W

At this location, on February rd, 1943, Short Stirling R9250 'AA-W' of No. 75 Squadron crashed on its way to Hamburg. All crew members were KIA. The plane was shot down by Hauptmann Reinhold Knacke and his navigator Feldwebel Kurt Bundrock with their Messerschmitt Bf 110F-4 'G9+DK', flying from Gilze-Rijen.
