Corregidor - Battery Chicago

Battery Chicago stands on Morrison Hill and was armed with four .3" M-3 guns on M2A2 mounts. The battery played an active and effective role in the AA defense of Corregidor from 1941 to 1942. Gun no. 1 was destroyed by a direct hit on 13 April 1942.

Battery C was assigned to an infantry reserve role during the Japanese invasion of Corregidor, and did not see any action apart from heavy shelling on its positions.
